Hello all, tomorrow will be my first day back to school after 2.5 years! I'm really excited but nervous since it's been so long and since I'll no longer walk in. I'll definitely be more busier with school & school work but I'll make time in the evenings to come and post
As far as assistive devices I'll be allowed to bring my laptop & iPad so that'd be really helpful for me. The school is fully accessible and has an elevator but the elevator requires a key to operate/access which is kinda annoying. It's hard for me to use the key due to my hand function so the schools occupational therapist will modify the key so it'd be easy for my to handle. I'm sure there'll be issues I run into that I haven't thought about but I'll see how it goes tomorrow!
DJ considering how much work you're putting into this forum behind the scenes to have it run so smoothly, you'll do great. Good luck! Have you decided on your major?
Thank you very much everyone! Only a couple more hours
theone, I'm actually two years behind in school due to my accident. I should be in my first year of university right now but I'm going back to finish the last 1.5 years of high school. I can't wait to get it done with and go to university!
Hey thank you all for the nice comments School went great today! It went smoother and felt better than I anticipated
I'm exhausted though, all that wheeling around the big building plus carrying around 20 extra pounds with me (school bag, laptop, etc) really make a difference. At least it'll make me stronger and is a form of exercise
