Hi Bostonfern, it can be hard to be told nothing shows up on scans ect as I have been using a wheelchair for years when having to walk any short distance and have had to except my spinal problems are caused through other reasons. I do not have SCI. Many things could be similar to SCI I was just wondering why you feel so strongly you have this and not anything else when all your MRI's come back ok. Surely if you had any problems in that area with all the scans they would have spotted something by now.
I am not saying you don't have a problem of some kind and I sincerely hope you don't But I just found it a little strange nothing as shown up. I know it can be frustrating to feel things but have tests come back negative I've had 30 years of it and still find it hard to except my DX of fibromyalgia and I need to use a wheel chair. I wish you luck and hope you can find an answer to your suffering soon. Your amongst a great group of people here.
I think its probably important to mention here just so there isnt any confusion that a Spinal Cord Injury is trauma to the spinal cord that causes compression of the spinal nerves.
Here is the section of the forum that goes into a little more detail
