"if you want to make the world a better place, take a look in the mirror and make that change" Michael Jackson or the lyrics of "Imagine" by John Lennon
I agree!...we have the power as individuals to make our mark in life and to make change....just takes thought and action... .....
Sadly..sometimes the powers that be will not be flexible. I once challenged a huge animal charity in this country about its inability to alter a law that would protect live export of anilmas to different countries. They had been 'campaigning' for over 70 years to no avail. I tried to highlight the plight of these horses who were dying along the journey. I saved one of the horses and then brought it to the UK. I then contacted the newspapers and tried to encourage people to sign petitions...and i was saddened to find that people just could not be bothered to even sign a peitition that could then be presented to government.
It takes many like minded individuals to put pressure on the powers that be so i decided from then on..that i can do my bit, each day, in some way...however small it may seem because it may just be enough to make a difference to someone

Just my personal ponderings lol
I understand what you are saying. Humankind is the deadly alpha devil: its sole purpose is to conquer, control & consume. As long as there is money to be made, everything else and its ripples becomes secondary. In your country, where the elites are called the royal family, the story is the same. The goal is vertical accumulation of wealth rather than the equitable horizontal distribution. On the bright side of things: I love your Russell Brand.

giving someone a golden spoon due to a genetic lottery is not fair to the rest of humanity ..... revenue or no revenue. Russell hates them as well

Ah but.....many people gain wealth through inheritance....call it genetic fortune? i like to think its been hard work from family and genetics are a lottery lol Some people are born into rich families so it becomes a birthright to be fortunate.
Myself personally im not materialistic...my value on being enriched is from the people i have in my life, my quality of life and appreciation of those small things. I encouraged my parents to spend their money and not leave it to us.
Im not jealous or bothered by the royal family, they are part of our history and ancestory and providing they do not abuse their fortune and position then i can respect them
Yes, keyless car entry is pretty much standard now.
BTW, I bought a power cord that is wirelessly activated. I bought it on amazon for about $50. You download the "wink" app and can control the outlets. I have an air purifier plugged into the power strip so that when I enter the room I can turn it off as it makes noise.
I also converted all of my thermostats to a smart thermostats so I can control heat/ac from anywhere. I bought a Honeywell for about $200. I consider that well worth the money as it is difficult to get to the thermostats in my house.
I want keyless entry for my vehicle! Don't they have that feature in New vehicles?
Yeah, as dlevy has said, it's standard. What I like about my new car though is that it can automatically unlock the doors as I approach the car. I don't even have to push the unlock button.

I wish I could trade in my Explorer for something more reliable (it almost stalled out yesterday), but that will have to wait. And the dealership would only give me like $400 for my Baby Girl.
