Soon, I hope I will find the time to make a video which addresses the issues that able-bodied people have with disabled people. I get harassed quite a bit online and in real life simply because I get around differently. My neighbors (all building residents are disabled or elderly) cheered when I walked down the hallway with a walker after my 3rd surgery, but when younger people see me using my wheelchair or a walker, I see pity, confusion, curiosity, and disgust in their expressions. I am sick and tired of people thinking I want pity, and I am appalled that some able-bodied people think I make my videos for attention! I make my videos for you guys & gals!
I wanted and still want to cover topics that other spinal cord injured people have not; things people are embarrassed to talk about. Yes, I have been called names and other things just for posting my videos, but those 2 or 3 people my video(s) have helped make it worth it.
Among all the negativity, among all the people who call me names, all the guys who see me as an object-- a thing to conquer, all the meanies and the unsavory people I have come across online and in real life-- among all of that, there are those 2 or 3 little stars in the darkness that keep me going, that say to me, "Thank you; you have helped me," or "Your videos are so helpful," and even the random, "You're beautiful! Keep it up!" are the reasons I keep making these videos. You guys are the reason I started this channel, and whenever I have had any problems-- technical difficulties, emotional barriers to overcome, distractions-- you guys have been here, so I will continue to be here for you!
I have a question for you now. Are there any specific topics you would like me to bring up or address in my next video? Do you have any suggestions or requests for the next video, or should I just put my ideas in a hat and choose that way when I can't decide?
Knight sorry to hear about all the negativity, it's stupid and not worth you getting angry or upset over. Ignore the haters and keep doing what you're doing! Your videos are awesome

Thanks! I'm being more of an advocate in my own health, physically and mentally, and I think that has a lot to do with my decision to move forward with the YouTube channel. I am so busy with appointments now-- physical therapy, mental health therapy (a psychologist finally noticed, diagnosed, and is helping me deal with mild PTSD); "meetings" with people who will be remodeling my apartment to meet ADA standards ("meetings" = them coming into my house and interrupting my mornings by taking more measurements. I'm not sure I'll have enough time to shower tomorrow before they want to measure the bathroom for the 6th time!); juggling family time with my sister's birthday coming up; & trying to slide in some friend time! I don't know how people manage to do all this with a full-time job! I am so glad my hobby (which is slowly becoming something larger than I ever expected) is run on my time! Phew. I guess it wouldn't seem so hectic if there wasn't one to two feet of snow blocking my way everywhere I turn! I can't wait til winter is over!
Knight once the modifications are done it'll be worth it. I know its a hassle but the outcome will be good so try not to stress out too much. I agree about the snow, it sucks! I hope it'll be gone atleast by the end of March!

We usually get a blizzard in April that leaves 20" on the ground.

I have deleted a couple videos off of my channel because I felt they were sort of repetitive.
Is there a way I could make some of my videos only available to certain people? I'm quite frustrated with all the negativity on the internet.
The only way i can see you being able to direct your videos to actual wheelchair users is to only post up your videos to support groups such as ours and on the internet. As here is, these places are 'moderated' and 'staffed' so you should eliminate a significant degree of that negative element.
Whilst they are for everyone to access on you tube, you will always have that element, you just increase the probabilities thats all. Can you block certain users btw?
Knight when you upload your video set it to "unlisted" then embed the video on here. By doing that, only we can view the video (and who ever else you send the link to) and it will not show up on your youtube profile.
I changed some of them, so let me know which links work and if some don't. I know "Photo Story" and one other one were the ones I deleted, but I will post them back up and embed them here for you guys once they're back up. Thanks for the help DJ and Lαrα BTW, Lαrα, I have blocked a few devotees & fakers from my channel, like that Zachary Washy guy.
Hey! Here's some news about my YouTube channel: I have not posted any new transfer videos, but I have decided to share my poetry in a more interesting way than just ink on paper. I have posted my first read aloud poem video a couple weeks ago. I would like to share it with you all as well. Here's the link:
