Early Tuesday morning im off to a horse competition for just under a week. Two of my horses are competing there so im staying too so i can watch.....so i thought i would tell you guys about it.

Its always a tiring week as i will stay in the 'living area' in the horsebox which is approx 9ft X 10FT.....it has a kitchen area, toilet area and fold down bed....accessing the horsebox isnt easy but i manage.
I remember going to this competition the first year after becoming SCI'd and i came home exhausted.....but im stronger than i was and it has got easier than it was for sure.

Its kinda like camping but im not in a tent...i actually love this show..i get to spend time with people i know well..barbecue and chill in the evenings and watch the competitions during the day. I have my disable scooter so il just busy myself all day and get around quite well.

The most difficult aspect is watching instead of being involved in working the horses and preparing them each day..bathing them and doing stable jobs....i miss it real bad!

Oh and the showers are a nightmare..there is never a disability one to use....so its a struggle but il manage somehow..lol

Anyways I shall keep you updated and get some pics! most likely all horsey ones lol

Thankyou DJ....i sure will do yes ...well im almost ready and packed...so much to organise....im going to travel on the way in the horsebox living area on the way because im up at 4 am....so i can have a sleep on the way.

Im travelling next to the horses so i can check on them as we travel...

Thankyou for the good wishes guys ..il actually miss being around the forum as I am now....i love our forum so il miss you all and i not gonna let DJ miss me or me him because il be on the phone to him....if he thinks he's getting peace this week then he can think again lol :lol:....sorry

Well to explain to ridingdirty..the horsebox i have is a 7.5 ton lorry that was converted to carry 3 horses and then divides into a 'living area' for me. It has a kitchen are and sleeping area.
Its like a motorhome kinda with a section at the back to travel horses. It's approx 21ft long and 9ft wide and 9ft high..il show you when i take some pics of it.

I like the atmosphere at this show..its very much like camping but im not in a tent although many people stay in tents..but theres no way i could manage in one lol

my home for the week..this is the 'living area; in the horsebox..

This is where the horses travel..it is just next to the 'living area'...there is a door that opens up from my area to where they travel so i can check on them
