So I'm sure many of you have heard about the ALS ice bucket challenge and personally, I think it's a great idea. It has really helped bring awareness for ALS all over the world. For those that don't know much about this challenge, you can read about it here - ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. You can donate on their website to help support the cause as well.

I think it'd be great to start something similar to this for spinal cord injuries, cauda equina syndrome, etc. it's a fun and effective way to spread awareness and it'll help generate a lot of money that'll go into research. What are your thoughts? Leave a comment below!

That was awesome DJ. What challenge would you think up. I'm not sure it would work again like it did.
I wonder if we could get something started on a smaller scale. I now of someone in need of a service dog, I can't imagine they're cheap.
Any idea's? Anyone held a fundraiser here?

I know of several service dogs who came from the pound and were trained. I don't think that they usually cost that much.

I thought that the Ice Bucket Challenge was great. But less than a third of the money raised actually helps patients.

I liked the Ice Bucket Challenge. It brought a lot of awareness to ALS. I wish we could think up something more than the little photo I made to challenge Facebook-ers to set a green ribbon as their profile pic.

Hey Knight, listen that green ribbon is a small thing, but its more than anyone else has done and I think its great you did that!!

And because you did that, I think we should get you a new wheel chair!!

DJ..we can endorse this i think...did we set up non profit status because if not they we can or i will on my tarot forum..actually we could in both places.

I will contact the company also (is it Ti lite) and ask if they can reduce the cost. Over your way in the USA is there tax added on wheelchairs? There isnt here in the UK....

That's excellent Knight! deanertheweiner and I also shared it on insta and fb a couple weeks ago so that should help spread some awareness. A new chair? Why not! Make a video explaining why you need a new chair and how you'll benefit from it and we can share it with a fundraiser.
