I'm trying to. I've been so busy, and today I am trading couches, going sweatshirt hunting, running a couple more errands! Hopefully I can get a friend to help me. There are so many things I could put on it, but I don't even know where to begin. I currently feel like this:

and it's because there is so much on my plate!

My cousin mentioned that I didn't ask for sympathy or say anything to spark their compassion or to let them know me. I guess I didn't think about it because 1. I very very rarely play the pity card; and 2. The posters are being put up in the 2 towns I live and lived in, where everyone knows me. Do you guys think there could be any improvements or changes? Knight, I like your poster and I can't really think of anything to change on it. Just telling it like it is. is not playing the pity card its the truth, paralysis sucks plain and simple. Ive watched your videos and Ive seen how you can lay it out there, never felt you were looking for pity. Theres no way any of us can talk about paralysis and make it look pretty, we've lived it, its like trying to gold plate a turd. I wish you the best in the fund raising!!!

So, it's been a very long time since this thread's been active. I learned a couple weeks ago that the time between new wheelchairs my insurance will cover has increased to 5 years from 3! I have to wait until October AND prove to them that the Q7 does not meet my needs. I don't understand why an able-bodied person is in charge of choosing what is comfortable and necessary for a disabled person!

OK, I have a couple questions for you guys as well: What are your experiences with wheelchair dealers? Online vs in-store?

As far as dealers go, I'd say find one in person. It'd be easier to get the correct fitting and all that way and it's important that you get the right chair!
