Happy new year to you all. Sorry to bother you but has anyone tried linseed (Linusit Gold)to regulate the bowel as it was recommended to me as I have problems maintaining a regular routine. I was offered a colostomy after trialing so many things including nerve stimulation and medication (too many to list lol), but the spinal consultant wants me to keep trying!!!

One of the attendants here at the clinic told me about ripe kiwi fruit. They serve them every once in a while but they're always rock hard so I was sending them back. Guy told me to hang on to them and let them ripen as they are a good natural lax. Unfortunately they serve them so green that it takes two weeks to ripen. Can't say that they work but they help. maybe in a smoothie with mangoes...when I get outa here. Cod liver oil is supposed to be good too...remember the days they would give you a spoonful at school? Oops my age is showing!
fishkybizniz, Restilor for 500$/7 doses! Whoa!!! Where you live? I don't know what it costs in Canada but that sounds like a serious overdose of Pharmabro gouging.
Question: Is cheese a constipater as we were told by our moms way back when? What about wine? (I'm going through my two major food groups here.) I don't know if I could survive without them.

Yeah cheese is definately a constipater unfortunately. You can eat it but not in excess. Smoothies are great to help loosen things up!
God really out-did himself when he made mangoes. Besides tasting so good and being good for you (fiber, vitamins), the skin (finely diced) can be used as pectin in homemade jelly,...like the delicious pineapple and mango rind jelly that I just made. Also, if you open up the big mango seed (and if it's healthy, without any infestation), the kernal can be finely chopped and made into a tincture,... and used against STAPH!!! At this moment, I have on my kitchen table, a small jar of chopped mango seed soaking in Everclear alcohol (50% solution), i.e., a tincture that helps kill staph. It's bitter and makes my mouth pucker when I take a little sip.
The Inhibitory Potential of Thai Mango Seed Kernel Extract against Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus
Article (PDF Available) in Molecules 16(8):6255-70 · December 2011 DOI: 10.3390/molecules16086255 · Source: PubMed Pimsumon Jiamboonsri, Pimolpan Pithayanukul, Rapepol Bavovada, Mullika Chomnawang Abstract Plant extracts are a valuable source of novel antibacterial compounds to combat pathogenic isolates of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), a global nosocomial infection. In this study, the alcoholic extract from Thai mango (Mangifera indica L. cv. 'Fahlun') seed kernel extract (MSKE) and its phenolic principles (gallic acid, methyl gallate and pentagalloylglucopyranose) demonstrated potent in vitro antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and 19 clinical MRSA isolates in studies of disc diffusion, broth microdilution and time-kill assays...
www.doctorshealthpress.com/food-and-nutrition-articles/mango-peel-could-contain-hidden-benefits "Fiber: Fiber is a big consideration when it comes to mango peels. Like with most fruit, the fiber content found in the rougher skin dwarfs any found in the flesh by a significant margin. Mango peels can add much needed mobility to your digestive system and help keep bowel movements comfortable and regular."

Constipation is a side effect of long hrs in sitting position. its ain't even most appropriate to answer the nature call from sitting when your fully ab never mind when chair bound. I haven't read all the thread but what is not being mentioned here is the routine exercise of Abs, legs hip and torso . people with upper body strength can do this aided by hands, others need third party help. This type of exercise is parcel to a good eating diet fruit included for healthy bowels.
I just can't stop talking about mangoes. Here's an online Indian cookbook. This particular page touts the medicinal benefits of the mango seed (kernal). It says you can let them dry and they will rattle inside the shell. Then they can be stored until you need one for medicine.

The above video says that they use Ayurvedic medicine to eliminate hemorrhoids. In first first stage of treatment, one medicine is used, and in the second stage of tthe treatment, a different medicine is used. But the video doesn’t say “what” medicine is used. Also, there is one spot in the video where an English-language caption appears on the screen, but that caption is incomplete, ending in the middle of the word, and followed by “...” (elipses). I watched it over and over so that I could give this report.
