I dont know if you guys have had assessments where you are asked to list in order of priority which function causes you the most issues. I saw a specialist last week and was asked this.
I always say mobility because its so frustrating being a walker with SCI and if i sound ungrateful then im sorry, of course I appreciate my upright mobility but being able to do the activities that i had prior to injury would give me the most normality.
I find that i want to walk, albeit with crutches but then my muscle power is compromised so i cant walk very far, so its a switch between a chair and walking..
Of course, i may be saying this because i have reasonably good management of my bladder and bowels. Im sure we all have different reasons and motives for how we would answer what we would like back first but tell us about yours!
I would agree with DJ on Bowel/Blatter first then walking. I would love to walk first, but standing and having accidents wouldn't go well. I would be leaking like crazy.

This is a hard one, I would have to walking too. I actually cannot remember how it felt to walk now. When I see people walking around it actually fascinates me how they do it!
DJ, I used to think a lot about walking as I miss walking my dog. It has taken a long time for him to get used to me being in a w/chair and he is not happy about it. Sometimes I dream that it is easy to walk until I stand upright and then commence to slowly tumble to a heap.
