To be a participant in this clinical trial, you have to be sick enough to risk your life in order to be cured, and well enough to survive the treatment.
Woah
Probably for the best that i was not accepted for the clinical trial!
Well, today I had bone marrow sucked out of my hip, processed and put into my intrathecal canal in my spine and blood stream. The process was fairly painless and took about 2 hours. Although now Im starting to feel pain in my hip where they sucked out the marrow. I've had burning in the buttocks big time over the past 5 years and also in the bladder area most of the time probably 8 on a scale. When the Dr. was putting the Stromal cells into my spine I could feel a numbness enveloping the areas of pain and finally the pain was gone, for the first time in 5 years. Now the thing is, will it stay gone for any length of time making it worth while. Ill let you know.

That's awesome news tbone57, congrats! Keep us updated
tbone57, Expected to have pain where they went into bone to get marrow, but that will subside. How is the other pain? Is the relief lasting?
Hey@wavewolf, sorry for not being more forthcoming, got some family crap goin on. Honestly no real pain during procedure. The relief from neurologic pain was most noticeable an hour after they did the procedure. I have to say I've gone down two levels say from 8 to 6 will continue to monitor for any changes

Well 6 is a lot better than 8! Really hoping that there is a long lasting benefit, maybe compounding and getting you to a 4--that is my norm, and it is manageable. Lately my "burning ring of fire" has been around 8, and I am at wit's end. Doctor wants me to try carbamazepine, which has some scary potential side effects and is not affordable. So I am very interested in the treatment you have received--both for your recovery of life function and also as possible option for me to explore. Sorry to hear about family stuff--pain of another sort...

I tried many things before this, to name a few, Lidocaine infusions, stimulator implant, tramadol, Lyrica, Tzanidine, Ketamine infusions, testosterone replacement, etc, none seemed to have the impact that stem cells did, Like I said the cells have to pass the test of time and I will be reporting any changes on this site, so far holding ground!!
