I have been trying to find a company that makes wood ramps all afternoon and they do not exist in the UK!
I hate metal ramps, wood is so much more natural and not as obtrusive as metal. When did life become so complicated
I know what you mean with regards to wood coming from Canada...much more natural...tactile.
In the meantime I have found a site in Blighty that sells ramps at a reasonably discounted price while you wait for a carpenter to build up something for you...here in the south of France that could take a very long time. Ever read "A Year In Provence"? good read.

Ps this is where I got my chair and so far I'm quite satisfied...especially the prices seem affordable.
Thankyou Sir, I will take a look at them, I am a bit of a tree hugger but not quite as much as I should be because Im prepared to use felled trees for this ramp! I havent read the book but if I take up reading-I shall search it out on your recommendation hmalbet.
I watched a film with Leonardo De Caprio in and it was set in Canada..Other than it being very cold, I did notice the vast woodland! You seem to have more than the world's fair share of trees but maybe as many woodcutters
