Well it may happen (lifetime award) - announcements this week suggest that for pensioners lifetime PIP awards are going to happen. Maybe you youngsters with lifetime illnesses will follow. Hope so - seems ridiculous to put people through the stress over and over again. I think people with mental health disabilities have it worse. I heard recently of someone whose son has moderate/severe autism and he still only gets his award for 5 years. Autism isn't something you recover from! Ridiculous!
Peter's award is for 10 years and he is over 65 so we are hoping we don't have to jump through those hoops again. Like you, we sent off lots of evidence from consultants, physios and his GP. But also, like you he still had a face to face assessment.
