I'll be ordering a new power chair within the year and would appreciate members opinions on the Permobil F & M series chairs. I'm specifically interested in the F3 and M3 but would be interested in what users have to say about the F5 also. I'll be switching from a mid drive Quantum 6000Z and realize there'll be a transition period if I go with the front drive F3. Anything that you can tell me about the quality of the chairs or how they ride would be most helpful.

I too currently have a Quantum Q6 Edge and ready for a new powerchair. I just met with my therapist in clinic and worked with the permobil rep to test drive a M3, F3, and F5 VS. I have progressive MS, unable to walk, NO usage of legs, and in the chair 24/7. I've been sitting in the chair for 4 years, not laying completely out. This has giving me leg spasms, lymphedema, bladder and bowel issues. This is why I'm requesting a new chair. I want the ability to stand up to enhance blood flow, pressure points, reduce spasticity, and strengthen my back. So far I've driven the M3 and I was impressed, felt the blood flow instantly & liked it so much better than the Quantum Edge. The ride and functionality are outstanding. I will be test driving the F3/F5VS Standing Position with front wheel drive next. I want to stand!! Again, I'm in the chair 24/7 except for bathroom use when I transfer with help. My suggestion is to call a Permobil Rep and schedule appt along with your therapist to do test drives to see which chair is best for you. I'm really impressed with Permobil products. Let me know what you've chosen
I have a Permobil M300 (mid wheel drive) and so far it has been an excellent chair. Very nice looking too. I'm not sure what F3 and M3 are like but I'm sure you'll like it as its like every other quality Permobil product.
