During when cannabis became available my doctor was lets say a seasoned doctor and wasn't on board. I was on so many subscriptions it was ridicules I was on 4800mg of Gabapentin. I few years ago my long time doctor retired and sold his practice to a younger doctor. All these years I have opted for prescriptions instead of Cannabis because I tried smoking it and it made my nerve pain worse but my CBD oil has no THC and it gives me the same relief as the Gabapentin without the brain fog from THC or Gabapentin. It cost about 5.5 million dollars to get a new drug passed by the FDA.These small companies able to safely administer all cannabis can't do so because they can't afford it nor can they carry out clinical trials. I recently watched the "The Sacred Plant" and they believe cannabis became illegal because the pharmaceutical companies couldn't Paten nature therefore it wasn't profitable. Think about it why are there so many pharmaceuticals out there because their alternatives are not profitable. You might be saying she probably doesn't believe in vaccines well, no, people are asking for safer vaccines one child/family is to many. I believe God put cannabis on the planet as he did every other plant form. Don't knock until you try it just get it from a legal means not dispensaries.
I agree, jazzy. And the same principle holds true regarding remedies other than cannibis, too. Here's a small quote on the subject. "The system calls for the use of patented drugs only. It costs $800 millions in research to bring a cancer drug to market. The required level of research for cancer drugs is impossible to finance unless you have a patent on the drug. Consequently, even the most amazing herbal research does not stand a chance." www.drhuldaclark.org/index.php/2014-05-26-23-32-19/pathfinders

I'm not clear about your point on vaccines, could you un-confuse me? I won't ask you to source the "God put even planet on earth" deal, lets just say there is evidence to the contrary. I do agree that I'd rather smoke a bale of weed or swim in a pool of CBD oil than take prescription meds, if it did the same job. If you are a anti-vaxer, please do more research.
My consultant at Stoke Mandeville hospital put me on a cannabinoid trial. The drug was called Nabalone. It was really powerful, made me feel as if I was floating around the ward. I was eventually sent home with a box full of the tablets. My consultant told me to increase the dose slowly. He would see me every month and we would discuss the effects. I was able to tolerate two tablets without any serious effects but beyond that I started to become incredibly forgetful. I was spaced out most of the day, forgetting who was doing what and where people were. One day I looked around for my wife and discovered she had gone out, probably shopping. Then a vague memory cut through the drug haze, and I remembered she told me she was leaving the house to go up the town. We laughed when she got back and I told her the story. The laughs came easily. They were prolonged and spontaneous. I was wheeling around the house like a Cheshire cat with a big grin on my face. My demeanour was a constant source of amusement. On my fourth tablet I had no pain whatsoever but I was still spasming. I didn’t raise the dose any higher, couldn’t go any further. Four was my limit. I produced some incredibly colourful pieces of artwork. I’d spend hour upon hour building up colour with thousands of dots of paint, a bit like pointillism. Time seemed immaterial. Days went by without any recollection of the passing of time. Then I’d look and see a completed picture and think wow! Strange times. I haven’t smoked cannabis for many years. Grew three plants in my back garden about four years ago. Pulled them up, hung them upside down to dry, then shredded the leaves from the stalks. They remained untouched inside a large container in my shed. Eventually gave it all away to very grateful friends. I just loved looking at the plant. Technically I was breaking the law and could have gone to prison. Had no intention of smoking it. Just loved the shape of the leaves and pungent smell of the flower heads. In my youth I spent all my time trying to getting out of my head but in my later years I spend all my time trying to get back into it. Chemicals were my undoing. Me and drugs. Now there’s a real story to tell. Happy days to all you smokers, or should I say happy daze.
cannabis slows the growth of certain cancers and reduces bad effects of chemo drugs fighting cancer so cannabis is a miracle plant and is being intensely studied in various ways. has had huge improvement in my sci spasticity and my attitude. highly recommend to all with pain and spasticity issues.

how much CBD do you need to get the same relief as 4800mg? Are different CBD oils/batches rated at different strengths? So for eg if you got a 50% strength rating and you needed 10ml of oil, you would take 5ml of 100% strength.
how do you actually take it? just straight on a spoon or in a drink etc? Is it tasteless?
i'm on 800mg of gabapentin but i'm still in constant pain but if i go over that I get side effects. It does take the edge off the pain to a certain extent.
we can't get it here legally. what is the problem with illegal sources apart from the moral/legal reasons which in my view are superseeded by our situation. is there a way to home test illegal sources for strength and safety?
After the car hit me, doctors gave me hydrocodone. They gave me too much,...I mean REALLY too much. I felt like I was suffocating. I got the dosage reduced. I kept taking it for pain for a year. But during that time, I could never remember the names of my aides,...not the good ones to give commendations, nor the bad ones to report them for misconduct. I quit taking the hydrocodone and was often in pain beyond what Ibuprofen could touch. I had a French language book that I wanted to study, but it wasn't until I'd been off of the hydrocodone for about three months that I began to be able to retain what I was studying. I've never had marijuana, but I use other pain-killing herbs. I believe that "herbal" is the right way to go.
I just found out the medical marijuana will be legal in my state of Iowa the beginning of next month. I will have to see how things go and who or what conditions qualify. I'm still on the fence about it. But I do believe that it should be legal for all to use. The war on drugs is just another way to militarize our Police forces. The police should not have any better weapons than a normal citizens can buy. Wasn't it General and President Eisenhower that warned us about the military industrial complex? I believe that it is happening now, and our young men, our best and brightest are paying the price with their lives.

When I came home from the hospital I was on too many medications too strong for me. As my pain management doctor peeled the layers of drugs I wondered if medical marajuna would help. Per the dispenserary, CBD was recommended. I went with an edible called Cheeba Chews. I chopped them up and stuffed them into capsules so I could take them scheduled. They helped the spasms go away. I think it's sad we have to play doctor for ourselves. The important thing to remember is to disclose all of your medical conditions to the dispenserary doctor as most of us have other conditions.
I am heading to Colarado on vacation this summer and I will be trying it out there. I need some kind of relief. I will try to find a knowledgeable dispensary and go from there.
Herbal pain killers are so much better for us than "medicines". Oxycodone (for example) puts us on a path to kidney and liver failure. We need for our kidneys and livers to be working optimally, so that they can detoxify our bodies from all our other problems.
"Oxycodone Effects
Oxycodone, a semi-synthetic opioid agonist, has similar effects to morphine, but oxycodone is about twice as potent. Oxycodone alone appears to have the potential to cause liver enzyme elevations, according to an article published online in the May 2008 issue of "Journal of Medical Case Reports" by Australian researchers from Cairns Base Hospital. The researchers reported the case of a man who developed cholestatic hepatitis with elevated liver enzymes after taking time-released oxycontin after surgery in the prescribed amounts of 40 mg each morning and 20 mg at night.
Combination Drug Effects
Acetaminophen, an over-the-counter drug sold as Tylenol, is used in combination with oxycodone in the prescription drug Percocet. Acetaminophen can have serious, life-threatening effects on the liver when taken in large amounts. Taking more than 4 g of acetaminophen per day can cause liver damage; in rare cases, doses as low as 2.5 g per day have caused liver damage, according to the United States Food and Drug Administration. The FDA asked drug manufacturers to begin limiting the amount of acetaminophen in prescription drugs to 325 mg per tablet or capsule in 2011 and add liver damage warning to drugs containing acetaminophen in 2009." www.livestrong.com/article/426978-oxycodone-elevated-liver-enzymes/

Yes, I am allergic , severely allergic reaction to oxycodone. I had it prescribed for all three of my shoulder surgeries and the second morning after my third surgery I woke up with a start was hives from my head to my toes and couldn't breath. I spent the next 12 hours 8n the emergency room, they had to really dope me as I had been trying to rip my skin off. A very bad experience.
