I think that the Mediterranean diet is one of the best. It is high on fish and whole grain. I need to look more into it. I also look at the diet of low heart diseased countries like Japan, which also includes fish. Wild Salmon is supposed to be incredibly healthy.

I actually have a diet thats high on fish. I aim to eat fish 3-4 times a week as a replacement to meat and I have noticed that I feel better, I dont put on weight easily and its good for my bowels. Give it a try if you havent youll feel much better.

That's a great diet you have going on iloveellisse! I really should be eating more fish than I currently do
I've succeeded in losing about ten pounds of @$$ in the past month. I decided that I needed to do something, but not drastic. I switched from chips to crackers, and I eat less carbs and more proteins. I used to eat mainly carbs like pasta, etc. I've heard people say to cut out protein to lose weight... that makes no sense! Meat that isn't lean, yeah, but not foods high in protein!
Anyways, I hardly eat candy, and don't drink much soda pop (only when it's mixed with booze!), so it wasn't too hard to make a couple very small changes. When I go to McDonald's, I'll get a chicken wrap instead of a cheeseburger. I've lost my "saddlebags," as my mom calls them, and my shoulders & back muscles are building. Seems I've figured out a happy medium...for now.
Edited to say that in 2 months I went from a size 4 to a size 0 again
A low carb diet always helps! It's much better than a low fat or protein diet because our bodies need proteins and fats. Sure we need some carbs but we normally consume far more carbs than we need.
Totally agree, DJ. An alternative to butter that doesn't go rancid (since I use very little) is coconut oil, organic from reliable source (www.swansonvitamins.com or www.vitacost.com both reliable). I hate the taste of coconut, but this is actually delicious and mild-flavored.

Hey that sounds great wavewolf! It definitely helps that I like the flavor/taste of coconut too
