Neurokinex offers an extremely diverse and dynamic approach to rehabilitation, giving clients the opportunity to maximize their potential and improve their health and fitness. It also reduces the probability of secondary complications such as pressure sores and bone fractures which can often result in repeated hospital stays.
Neurokinex director Harvey Sihota said: “There is a growing body of research that shows that physical activity can have an extremely beneficial effect on the health and wellbeing of people living with partial or complete paralysis.
“Our program can be adapted for people of all ages and abilities and we help them achieve their personal goals and realize their potential.
“We can’t offer miracles but we can help make them fitter, stronger and healthier – leading to improvements in cardiovascular health, muscle and skin quality and bone density, and equally importantly help people, who are often in shock for a very long time after a major traumatic event, feel better and more confident.”
Thanks grammy...this looks like something i would be interested in myself but its just a little too far away for me...unfortunately...but its looks like a great facility
Thanks for sharing grammy, it'll be good for members in the UK to know about this center. I had a look at their website, it reminds me of the activities they do at project walk. Good stuff!
If anyone has any questions that we can answer about the organisation or the rehabilitation programme, please do not hesitate to get in touch at info@neurokinex.org
neurokinex...i do wish you had another center based nearer to me....I could maybe come sometime for an intensive 2 week programme and stay nearby? would that be beneficial or is it a longterm built up progressive type of therapy
Yes I understand. The vision of our organisation is indeed to make programmes like ours available to more regions and demographics. We hope that in the not too distant future we will be able to get our activity-based rehab programme to more locations. Obviously the execution of the vision will depend on finances and of course demand.
In the meantime, many of our clients do actually travel from as far away as Scotland, Wales and Ireland and stay locally for short (1-2 weeks) intensive bursts of rehabilitation.
neurokinex..i was just thinking...if you are a member of the Spinal Injuries Association (UK) they will add your website to their members link. Membership is normally free and from what i have seen there are not many rehabilitation centers represented on there so it may be a good option towards promoting your facility.

It was a surreal feeling as I've always used walking frame, then crutches. Just been a week doing this and already making improvements. Cant thank neurokinex enough, been going there about 10 months now and have made amazing improvements both physically and mentally. Loads of other aspects have improved as well, my core strength has got much stronger and now feel much more comfortable when i walk with my crutches. Love every session with neurokinex and will keep at it.
