It's been a while since we last posted here. We just thought we would drop in and let you know we've got an exciting announcement today which is another important step towards our vision. We'll keep you posted about the details of the plans as they firm up.
I'm a high-level tetraplegia, so it's difficult for me to get enough exercise to improve my physical health. At least, in any kind of rehab setting. The solution I found that has changed my life is an FES bike. Now I ride three times a week, at least an hour at a time or longer. Power output on my legs has gone from 2 W when I started two years ago, to over 100 W today. My weight is stable, my quads look fantastic, and my skin health is good. I have not had a UTI in two years. So far, I have ridden nearly 5000 km. Recently I upgraded my legs only machine to one that can do both arms and legs. Now I am working on improving my upper body strength as well.

midtoad that's incredible, thanks for sharing that! I keep saying this but I really need to get on that FES bike at physio. Just out of curiosity, was your injury classified as complete or incomplete?
It's been a year or so since we last posted here. I thought it would be a good time to check back and provide an update here.
We are now almost midway through our expansion project. Our Antrim, Northern Ireland satellite centre has been up and running since February this year and it has been nothing short of a resounding success thanks to wonderful support and motivation of the Community there. You can see a video that was recently filmed there covering one of our clients who has been instrumental in facilitating a partnership with the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund and IRFU Charitable Trust to make an Ekso GT exoskeleton available for use as part of the activity-based rehab programme.

We are now busy putting the final touches on a second satellite centre in Bristol for which we are scheduled to open the doors to in September. If you are based in the South West of England and want to find out more about the Bristol site or even get yourself booked in, please get in touch or apply.
Again, it's important to acknowledge that the organisation is a not-for-profit social enterprise committed to reach as many of those in need as possible and for our programmes to continue to evolve along with the field of research.
neurokinex, the approach you use is so profoundly life-changing!! You utilize technology to the max, but also create individual solutions to motivate and empower us. Bravo!! Ever think of expanding to USA?! The idea of core satellite locations is great.
grammy, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
