I'm speaking for my husband, injured in 1993. We were married after his injury, have three kids. He's coached baseball for our boys, worked in business, dealt with pain and the repercussions of SCI. Life is always challenging, but his SCI hasn't stopped his happiness. Don't give up. Carve out your new life. As I get older, I realize that there are so many tragedies in our lives but it's best to push forward and find the next path. It may not be what you think your life should be like - my husband has his moments of being bitter and the hand he was dealt. But I will surely say he's been happy. Good luck -
