Accessing corner cabinet. I’ve been back in my home for three years. One lower cabinet in my kitchen has been a source of vexation to me. I haven’t been able to access it because the door would only open as far as a “right angle” [90 degrees]. It wouldn’t open 180 degrees. I needed for the door to open 180 degrees and to lay flat against the small refridgerator beside it. This, so that I could roll my wheelchair up alongside the open cabinet. Not having a handiman and not being able to drill the holes myself (due to the wheelchair and the angle), the idea of using Gorilla Tape finally occurred to me. My aide helped me by removing the screws and hardware, then holding the door in place, while I cut and applied the Gorilla Tape as a “hinge” Voila! I’m ecstatic. The cabinet door now opens 180 degrees and closes just as well as when the metal hardware was holding it. I put the Gorilla Tape (2.88” wide) down the outside seam, then opened the door and put another strip on the inside. I used short pieces of tape...about 6” long...so that I wouldn’t create a fiasco of having the tape double back on itself.
Lol. And the site says, “Oh what MacGyver could have done with Gorilla Tape in place of his beloved gray stuff.”
