In July 2010, I read about a product named Vetericyn VF. Because of the people using it and making unbelievable claims, I decided to try it myself. The results were astounding as my urine cleared, all the odor went away and even the amount of sediment was greatly reduced. In August 2010, I started using Vetericyn VF (aka Microsyn or Puracyn). In the 40 months since then, I have not have a single uti. My urologist said he never heard of this product but advised me to keep using it. You can read about it at www.vetericyn.com and at www.puracyn.com. (Vetericyn VF is for veterinarians but is the same identical product as Puracyn but more powerful.) I also use it on poison ivy, sun burns, burns, cuts and scrapes. If you have questions, I'll be glad to try to help.
Good luck.
Note: I do not own and stock in Oculus, Inc. and I do not sell their products.
Thanks for sharing Millard , sounds like it has been very effective for you which is very promising ........im going to take a read but can i ask how you administer it, is it for a bladder flush?
I guess some people would call it a bladder flush. Personally, I would call it a bladder treatment. I just inject 20 ml three times a week into my bladder and that's it. At first, I was a little apprehensive but soon discovered it is easiest, for me, to eject it and empty with the next cathing. It is not an antibiotic, so there is no fear of building any immunity. If you'd like, I can put a link to the very large thread...some 1500 entries.
Thanks Millard...looks like a worthy consideration especially as you can recommend it and have tried and tested it...we need to know of these helpful tips..UTI's are too troublesome and a huge problem for us.
Hi Millard, I was just looking into purchasing a bottle of puracyn and noticed they came in a spray bottle. Is that what we're suppose to use? How exactly do you inject this into your bladder?
I use a piston syringe and put 20 ml in a small measuring cup (60 ml). If you intermittent cath, just insert that cath, empty the bladder and inject the Puracyn into the bladder and leave the syringe plugged in while removing the catheter. With a foley or supra pubic, just inject the Puracyn and clamp/plug the catheter for a few minutes. You may want to try this daily for 3 to 4 days and you will see everything clearing up and odor free. I now do this 3 times per week and all is good - great.
Thanks Millard! So I can just pour out the Puracyn from the spray bottle, take about 20ml in the syringe and inject it straight into the bladder. There's no need to dilute it with anything right?
That is correct DJ. I use the Vetericyn VF, which is labeled for veterinarians, but is the same but a lower price and stronger form of Puracyn. You will/should notice results in a couple of days as your urine clears up and the odor will be gone.
I shoud also mention that Puracyn/Microcyn is FDA approved for treatment and debridement of pressure ulcers, burns, cuts (surgical) and rashes. It will also kill MRSA and HIV virus.

DJ have you tried this Puracyn and have you had good results?
