I am a student at Stanford University working on a device to aid young girls and women with SCI in using menstrual products (mostly tampons!).
I am currently in the testing phase and looking for individuals to help test components to make this product as perfect and helpful as possible. If anyone is interested in a device like this, please either reply or PM me.
If you have any other thoughts/questions I would love to discuss!
I doubt paraplegics would have any problems with tampons (they have full use of their hands) and as for quads who dont have finger use, I can only speak for myself for when I was still paralysed....I used pads because it was just too difficult to insert a tampon. I am lucky enough to have got finger use recovery back and even though its not great, it's enough so that I can still insert tampons.
I'm in Australia but if I was in the US, I'd be happy to test trial your product.
There is another site where you can ask others who are similar to myself where you can ask the same question, you just have to ask the moderator first if its ok and I'm sure she'll say yes, she's nice.
So, was this akight , a real student or just someone getting their kicks (once again)? If real, then why didnt they post again? Questions like this don't embarrass me (if that's what they were trying to do), its not as though it's an uncommon thing for women to get their period.
Should sites like this be a little harder to join? Should a few questions be answered before a membership is permitted just to stop those few idiots who join and then like to ask those sexuality questions to get their rocks off?
