I'm suffering but my Dad is going through major spinal cord damage -- L4-L5. I've known he was going down for a long time because of radiology imaging. So I told him to go to the MAYO in Rochester MN. He called but they are so demanding -- seriously? Like they ever use the files they get. "Just say yes and you get treatment." Have we really gotten here?
I had a weird episode recently -- my legs contracted involuntarily, were numb, and hurt like hell. My hands also -- so I'm thinking it has to be cervical and in a similar location. Scared the s*** out of me -- similar to my first episode but sudden onset. I'm still recovering but it lasted about a week. So I'm wondering if this is a relapse or new attack...the good news is it is calming down. The scary thing is I live alone and I've made so much progress with my last attack so you forget there can be other attacks. Not sure that makes sense -- but it's like an "ah s*** moment."

Gosh, Out, this is terrifying. Keep us informed and ,meanwhile I will do the possibly useless activity of keeping you in my prayers. Or possibly not.
Looking back, I’ve had aides, nurses, and doctors that qualify as “buffoons” and were near-fatal to me. Oh yeah, and one Director of Nursing at a nursing home.

outlier , About 5 months ago I woke up one morning with a lot of pain in my left shoulder blade with some numbness running down into my hand and and it was also very weak....I of course was very worried because I dont like any changes with my body, Ive been quite stable for the last 20 years. So, after trekking back and forth between my neuro, nerve conduction study, Xrays, MRI...3 months later, my hand was almost back to normal, numbness and pain basically gone... final diagnosis... they dont know what the hell caused the weakness in my hand (cant compare recent MRI to ones in the past because they got lost years ago and apparently hospitals dont keep them that long)... but I changed my sleeping position, I make sure I dont sleep on left arm bent under my pillow any longer.
