I am a second year bachelor student in Applied Mathematics at the University of Technology, Eindhoven. We(me and my research team) are trying to support people with paraplegia, for our project in Engineering. For this, of course, some help is needed from your side. We would love to hear your stories and how you would like the idea of swimming. Swimming is described as one of the most healthy sports and my assignment was to create something to help disabled people to do sports. Since swimming is one of the sports that trains all the muscles of the body we chose to focus on this sport. We also read that there is a lot of difficulty with swimming and paraplegic people in the direction of getting in and out of the pool, where a sort of elevator is needed, and sweeping the feet on the ground of rivers and pools. For all this, there are some solutions to our product. Also, swimming will need some less effort by activating an acceleration driven motor. But since we do not have any experience with being paralyzed in our legs we would love to hear where you are struggling with while swimming and also we would love to hear your opinion about our idea.
I currently have part of my physical therapy in the pool. I have to get lowered by a chair and need help while in the pool. I have lots of spasticity in my legs and sometimes will make my legs more heavier in the pool but overall I'm able to do more on the pool than I am on land.

Thank you for your reaction. Really nice that you can do more in water than on land. I would also love to hear if you are interested in a floating device so you need less effort to stay for a longer time into a pool. So that you can do even more in water?
