Haven't seen any conversations lately about epidural stimulation but thought I'd pass along this news story. One of the humboldt bronco's is going to try the surgery in Thailand this coming December 2019! I'm curious how it'll go and if there will be any follow up. There never seems to be any followup post surgery, but with this guy I'm sure good or bad, something will be said.
The line in the story that most interests me is that he might get bladder control. "It can bring back certain functions that most people with spinal injuries don't have: muscle movement, bladder control. It's little things like that which can make a huge difference."
no, nothing like that on social media that I've seen. It's just reporting on the voluntary control of some leg movement. I'm curious if he'll be open enough to discuss THAT portion of things when everything is said and done?
Yeah, it’s not the favorite thing that able-bodied people want to hear about. He’s got a good thing going right now, and might be afraid that discussing “that” would mess up the vibes.
