When I plug the charger into its charging port (but the other end of the charger is not plugged in wall outlet, it's not energized, it's just dragging an uncharged charging cable), will it still be able to drive out of the house?

I have one of these and love it. Little thing has plenty of torque to get my 235 lb ass up very steep inclines with ease. I would not recommend wheelchair rolling with the charger on it. It is only connected to the Smartdrive unit with a magnet Rather take good care of the charger cords they are $650 usd by themselves. I inquired about getting one as a spare at work. Refurb chargers are $150.
