After a break while stabilizing in rehab, and fortunately regaining much upper body function, I was able to return to performing (primarily on viola) with several symphonies and chamber groups. I also work from home preparing spreadsheets and presentation materials for a financial consultant. Recently I began an intern chaplaincy at a retirement center--if I get to live there, it will turn into a PT job with wheelchair commute!
I own/operate my own child development home for the last 16 years. Since June 10 my daughter has been running it for me. I will be taking back over January 6 so I know I will be in bad pain everyday after having 6 children 10 hours a day.
Getting lost is the biggest, followed by mismanagement of your air supply
Im not sure if they will ever find out why...it was such a shame. I remember is mom talking to me about him and she must have missed him badly. Her partner had died when her son was a child, then she lost her son and the she died approx 2 years later...(about a 18 months ago)..all very sad
wavewolf...do you have recordings of your playing? It would be lovely to hear
da4phipps most of my work has been in early years development..little ones keep you on your toes lol

Lαrα, I don't have digital recordings of my playing, so sharing is bit cumbersome. Also, since others are involved in performances, there is the issue of getting permission. I never tried to distribute my performances by CD, would cost me too much. All my equipment is analog, and now is worthless, especially with planning move to small space.
Love that you worked with autistic kids. I volunteered tutoring with some autistic kids over many years, and was employed doing same one-on-one for two years in public schools. I also worked with RAD kids in that employment, very tough situations.

Oh that's too bad that we can't see/hear one of your performances but I understand why completely! Maybe one day though

Just received a DVD of a performance of one of the symphonies from last April--maybe I can send an excerpt, will check with owner of copyright! I'm just a small part of it, but was a great performance!
