my spasms used to toss me from the bed or the chair. I'd end up on the floor. Once when my wife was in the garden and I was still in bed, I spasmed so badly that I found myself wedged between the radiator and the bed (my bed is not far from the wall). Fortunately the radiator had cooled down a little. Following that episode I had an intrathecal baclofen pump fitted, which stopped the worst of the spasms. I only recommend it if the spasms are unbearable. Avoid having an implant unless it's absolutely necessary.
I'm so glad that I have no implants. But, yes, between having an implant and finding myself wedged between a wall and a radiator, I'd say the implant was the better choice.
