Hello everyone. A friend of mine with an SCI who lives in Michigan has a question.......

Are there any Medicaid Programs out there for a person with a disability who is looking to return to work and make about 45K in Michigan without losing Medicaid Coverage? I need Medicaid to continue receiving caregiver assistance (42 hours per week). I'm worried that I will lose my caregiver if I "make too much money at work". Any answers to this question would be greatly appreciated.,

Hi. I'm in Texas. I really wish and hope that you will be able to work, plus keep the other benefits. For myself, and from everything I've read, the U.S. "care" system is set up to make sure that none of those good, positive, things ever happen. I think you would loose all freebies after earning much less than 45K. It's a terrible system. While giving one a caregiver, it also undermines all enthusiam and dreams.
