I am A C6 C7 SCI since 03/08/01. I am having problems with being too hot. I sit under my ceiling fan on high with no shirt spraying myself with a spray bottle, AC on 70 and bed pulled under the fan at night. I have had this problem since a couple of years after my injury but in the last few few months months, it has been really bad. I had an Uti that went septic was when it started. four weeks at home before realizing something was very wrong, then 12 day in ICU. It has started again. SSDD! The hot problem that I have had in the past were hours long and now they have been going on for days. Does anyone else have this problem?
Sorry for The structure of my sentences and paragraph.
I started having overheating recently, as in the last few months. I used to feel cold when lying down and needed a good blanket, now I only sleep with a thin sheet and keep the temperature in my room around 23° c or lower, with the air conditioning running. C4- c5. I began to wonder if I'm having a heart issue after measuring my blood pressure in the middle of the night and finding it was 180/ 90! I consulted my physician and a suspicion is that I actually have sleep apnea. This can cause high nighttime blood pressure, which in quadriplegics needs to feeling hot or flushed. If you are only warm in the daytime, that may not be the case for you, but I'm just throwing it out there.
