About 10 months ago Cologuard showed abnormal DNA meaning the test was positive. I made an appointment with the Gastroenterology group recommended by my Primary Dr. but the earliest appt. was more than 2 months out. Later life got in the way and I had to reschedule which pushed the appt out another 3 months. When I finally saw the Dr. I learned that since it takes 8 days for food to pass through a quad's gut, I would have to go through not one but two consecutive days of bowel prep! Having pushed the appointment out so far left us smack in the middle of packing and moving to a new house and it seemed unreasonable to expect my wife to hurry packing as well as assisting me so I put it off. It is here supply chain issues caused the house being built to be delayed. Finally we have now moved which brings us up to today.
My bowel program is digital stimulation while I lie in bed. We found someone willing to help but I've no idea what to expect. Things such as will I get any sleep, what can the caregiver expect and the advice of those who know what I may be up against,
