Do you have a spinal cord injury? Are you interested in improving access to services and information pertaining to sexual health?
We are interested in assessing perceived gaps in sexual health resource information and services for adults with spinal cord injury. By incorporating data gathered from this study, we hope to formulate educational programs and services that are best tailored to the needs of individuals with spinal cord injury.
‐This study will take approximately one hour and require completion of a few surveys and participation in an audio‐taped interview. ‐To be eligible to participate, you must be 18 years of age or older, be fluent in English, and have a SCI (traumatic or non‐traumatic).
If you are interested in participating, or have any questions, please feel free to contact us!
This study is being conducted by:
Dr. Colleen McGillivray MD FRCP (C), Toronto Rehab‐Lyndhurst Centre, UHN Dr. Sander L. Hitzig PhD, Affiliate Scientist, Toronto Rehab Institute, UHN Dr. Nasrin Nejatbakhsh PhD, Medical student, University of Toronto
A much needed study nikita, I wish they would do something like this here, all we have really is the internet for information. If I lived in Toronto I would Certinally join in.
Hey nikita, that looks like a great research study. It's conducted by my primary doctor from Lyndhurst! My schedule will definitely be tighter now but I'll see what I can do

thanks DJ, we are on a really tight schedule because its part of a medical student's thesis so if you think you can make it down in the next 2 weeks that would be awesome...it'll only take an hour :-)
Do they want participants from the states as well?
Good to see you post nikita, say hey to the wolf for me.
thanks for your interest kilg0retr0ut but unfortuneately you'd have to be able to travel to Lyndhurst...the good news is we are trying to develop a program that will set a gold standard in how we provide sexual health information and services to people with SCI and something that can be emulated by other institutions across Canada and internationally. I will keep you all updated on the progress :-)
