I would like to increase blood circulation in my legs (no drugs). Google searches aren't very productive. Both stockings and the air pump methods make no sense to me. Simply squeezing and releasing will not circulate blood. The only thing I can come up with is ginseng tea. Since you guys and gals know way more than doctors, does anyone have any methods that actually increase leg circulation?
dlevy...there are several things you can do to improve circulation. Since i suffered from 3 blood clots, i always have to consider this.
I find it help to raise my kegs at some parts of the day....are you able to do this ? also do you wear the compression stockings?

It helps to raise your kegs ??? Lol Lαrα I thought your a non drinker . But seriously dlevy, raising your legs for an hour are two during the day does help, and yes unfortunately compression stockings do help as well, I also take a tablet called Frusemide to help get of fluid in my feet.
I make sure I put my legs up through the day. I also gently massage my legs to keep the blood flowing. If you have a bruise or wound on your legs, this is very important to do to help healing. Also a good idea to keep from getting blood clots. Massage isn't just to make you feel good, it's important for blood flow, and good blood flow will help keep your skin and bones healthy.
dlevy, movement is key. You're T12 incomplete, how much movement, if any, do you have in your legs? Propping your legs up as the other members have mentioned is a great idea as well. I put a pillow under my feet every night before I sleep to help keep pressure off my heals and to help the blood flow back up my legs.
Hi DJ. I have some movement - some hamstring and a flicker of quad. I am just being able to contract muscles in my lower legs (this is new). I'm at six months.
I just had my first massage. Oh my, that needs to be a routine! My legs went from cold to warm. Thanks Knight for the suggestion. I will massage my legs.
