I was just curious as to what mobility aid everyone uses. I use a manual and a power chair but mainly the manual unless I'm going long distances. My manual is the TiLite ZRA Series 2 and the power is a Permobil M300. I love both chairs and I'll get some pictures when I can!
I have a manual chair for longer distances, shopping etc...its basic but looks ok. otherwise i use my crutches to get about. Ever since i had a spin in DJ's manual chair i don't like mine at all.... ???

I'm in a manual chair and propel with my feet, but I'm getting a motor wheelchair to have more independence outdoors. I'm learning to walk with a hiking pole so hopefully, with hard work, I won't need a wheelchair in the near future. DJ knows this though
For 37 years, I used forearm cruthes, Fetterman. After developing osteoporosis and breaking my left kneecap in 2003, my orthopaedic surgeon insisted I throw the crutches away and use a chair. I now use an Invacare TDX-SP, but wish I could afford a Bounder chair. I have a modified van and now use hand MPD controls. (If I could redo the hand controls, I would get the Sure-Grips.)
Good luck.

Millard, I'm sorry to hear that! Unfortunately it'll probably be something most of us have to face one day but hopefully not. Also, what is it about the Sure-Grips that's better than the MPD controls? I'll be looking into getting hand controls in the future so it'd be nice getting more info
i use the manuel but it verry heavy and hard for push
ridingdirty, sorry I missed your post. They are hard to push but I found that it gets easier the more I do it. What kind of chair is it? Do you know the weight of it?
