Sad to hear about what's happend to Rocky but it's good to see that he's made a change! All they got to do now is implement this law everywhere else so no one has to go through what Rocky and him family did.
CHICAGO (CBS) — Governor Quinn goes to Eisenhower High School in Blue Island this afternoon to sign a bill inspired by a former Eisenhower football player, Rocky Clark, who was paralyzed from the neck down after he was tackled during a game in 2000.
Now, Governor Quinn is making it state law to require schools to offer catastrophic insurance coverage for student athletes.
Wow! Such a sad and moving story...at least his death was not in vein..but still he and his family should not have had to struggle after insurance ran out ....
Its great to hear that players will now be covered and this won't happen to anyone else and total respect and awe to this young guy who even though faced with struggles and disability he fought still to make change!!
