Hello Jay,
I CIC so I have no need to irrigate. I do inject 20 ml of Vetericyn VF 3 times a week into my bladder since August, 2010 and have not and uti since then. I still have some sediment which proves to be no problem as it is easily expelled when I cath. Around 1972, I had the supra pubic removed and for many years, I foolishly voided rather than CIC.
jay no i intermittent catheter so this isnt an issue for me, fortunately.
Here is a link to a factsheet which tells you all about Veterycin VF3 which Millard finds very useful Maybe this help reduce sediments? Veterycin VF3 factsheet
Here is a link that gives some info on catheters that clog due to encrusting: Encrusting catheter issues
I did read somewhere that a change of meds can contribute also?
