I am a very gassy person as I try to eat a lot of vegetables to stay regular. I've used Gas-X (Simethicone) a few times when I feel bloated, but it doesn't help much with the gas once it is in my bowels. I was thinking of trying activated charcoal and was wondering if anyone had any experience with it?

Hmm...not sure about that one Knight...i think that the Lactulose you take is very bloating. If you like would you like me to send you some sachets of movacol to try..i think it will be much better for you?
Also try some apple cider vinegar maybe..its great for the bowels etc

That would be great. I'm having a heck of a time keeping my bowels on track!
Send me your address on a private message and il send you some so you can give them a go! I use 3 a day...but i could prob cut down to two now. So i think two will be good for you? One morning and one night with water. Hopefully i can send a couple of weeks supply so you can see the difference.
Activated Charcoal doesn't do anything to prevent gas. It does help control odor. Gas can be made worse by the veggies that you eat so pick carefully. Vegan's are some of the gassiest and smelly people I have been around.
Beano or Gas-Ex might help reduce the bloated gassy feeling.
I'd recommend trying to work out what is causing it. I've found I can't eat onion and chilli as they now give me serious gas. My sister gets gas from wheat.
