One of our members mentioned this in a recent discussion and i think it is most certainly worth exploring. Exchanging homes for holidays seems such a logical and cost effective way to holiday and have an accessible place to stay. 
As with everything possible.....potential problems need to be looked into closely and weighed up against the advantages.
This could work out very well though..we have so many members worldwide that it would be a great solution to holidaying abroad. We have a 'family' holiday home in Spain and we have a rule that each person who stays there will pay for a professional cleaner to come for 2 hours cleaning in the apartment once each member of the family have left. This way it is spotlessly clean for the next person.
This isnt costly at all so all there is to pay for is the flight and travel insurance.
So for example if someone stayed in my home i could give them lots of local visitor places information that are accessible..inform them of the best eating places and local travel..etc!
My home is accessible for a chair user but for a paraplegic.. i am planning to make it more accessible eventually for friends to stay who are higher level...so i can invite anyone over for stays.
