Today, the Foundation funds SCI scientific research (basic, translational, clinical and psychosocial research); quality of life programs; postdoctoral and SCI medicine fellowships; and other projects to support the SCI community throughout the United States and Canada. In recent years we have witnessed the cutbacks of funding through the National Institute of Health in the field of spinal cord injury research. Luckily, we’ve had the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation supplementing some of those critical grants that otherwise would have not come to fruition.
