Ok.. mrlaguna i can understand that there may be some concern over carrying out a nerve block for you.... I do not understand that you say that you have problems with your nervous system that causes Autonomic Dysreflexia which is life threatening.
You explain that you suffer dangerously high blood pressure and other symptoms and yet you have no emergency meds on site at the nursing home.
What kind of help exactly are you looking for??
Is the suggestion of having emergency meds on site help that may save your life one day!!
Hi Lara, Oh yes I forgot I do have emergency meds., Some sort of cream that I rub on my chest that lowers blood pressure. You asked me what did I need, I need a spinal cord injury specialist willing to come my bedside, to observe all these conditions tha I'm going through. Make an accurate diagnosis and get the proper treatment to alleviate whatever is going on, so I can have a close to normal life and be as independent as possible.

Im not familiar with treatment this way or how effective that may be It will be interesting to know what its called. It sounds like you need to talk to the manager at the nursing home who can evaluate your needs!
Hi Lara, I'm not sure what it's called either, I don't know the name but I can find out. This nursing facility only uses resources, that they know of, they are not very resourceful in going the extra mile. I am only interested in finding help, or finding someone, anyone that can give me the asssitance that I am looking for, I will not stop until I find it. That is why I am in a spinal cord injury forum to get help, that I need for my spinal cord injury. Who in this world can help me I understand I am a senstive case, well that's life, what to do ? what to do ?
Hi DJ, Yes I know I need to see a specialist, the thing is I need to get a specialist to come see me at the nursing home, and make a diagnosis, and figure out which direction of treatment to take. How can I make this happen??? The nursing home staff is useless, and I just don't know which direction to take, this is the help I'm look for. Anybody that can help, please find someone to come see me at bedside.

~mrlaguna, there are not many specialists who will come to you to watch you..what are they to observe? Where do you live? Il look for the nearest unit to you

Oh I see! Like Lαrα has mentioned it's very rare for a specialist to come see you. Do you know anyone that could possibly drive you there one day?
DJ LIke I have said before, I'm not sure if you have read my previous posts on the forum, you would understand what I'm going through the only way they can transfer me anywhere is through expensive ambulance transportation, medical insurance would not pay for this or appointments, this why I some how need help to get a specialist to come see me at the nursing home. There has to be a way, that is why I am searching for help from anywhere.
This is how life has been, My case is so unique and sensitive, that some people are very interested at first, asking me alot of questions, then eventually stop replying. When they can't seem to help me,not even a good bye or I wish I can help. I just get ignored. I come to a spinal cord injury forum, with a serious issue. In hopes to get genuine help, and it's the same story. Well , thank you for your ... um well, I guess I don't know, I didn't get much help, only questions and curiosity, What to do ? What to do?

Questions are asked because they are trying to understand your situation. It is very difficult when a suggestion is made and you then come back with a reason why that cant be. You also have to empower yourself...we can support you but the answer you are looking for may be within you. You are already in a care establishment..we do not have the power to get a specialist to visit you...YOU have the power to make this happen.
You just need to communicate this to the people who are caring for you.
You say you have serious AD but then dont have emergency oral medication...well something isnt right...For your own sake..speak to your carers. If there are issues that you cannot speak of openly then message a member of staff here and lets take it from there.
Hi mrlaguna I apologize for the late reply. I would have seen this thread earlier if I was tagged but I wasn't. I honestly don't know of any specialists that'll come to you. As Lαrα has mentioned, it's ultimately up to you to call specialists in your area or surrounding areas and see if they can come to you. Why don't you call a major hospital or spinal cord injury rehabilitation center and see if they can point you to the right direction?
Well I would like to thank you all for what you have tried. I thank you for your suggestions, for all the suggestions that you have given I have done, writing letters to specailists. The resourscefulnes of this facility is crap, I have been using all my power all over the internet, writiing letters, and doing my best to get any type of asistances. This is another place that I tried, hoping somebody whould have some kind of medical connections, well Dorothy , back on the yellow brick road going through this truly the land of Oz.
