Have you tried regular dosing with D-mannose? It helps capture the bacteria in the bladder, and with drinking adequately the bacteria get washed out. I dose twice daily 1/2 tsp D-mannose, as preventative. When I get a UTI, I dose 1/2 tsp every 2-3 hours while awake. Except for one occasion, this has solved the problem without need for antibiotic, and frequency of UTIs is much decreased. D-mannose does not affect my blood sugar levels (steroid-dependent diabetes), and is tasteless, easily mixed in any beverage or food. Good info wavewolf! I've been taking D-Mannose tablets every morning for almost a year now. My UTI frequency has significantly decreased (once every 2-3 months opposed to 1 every two weeks) which is great. I'd recommend this stuff to anyone suffering from chronic urinary tract infections!
