Sounds great Lαrα! I truly feel blessed that I can just log in to the forum and find all the newest research there is on SCI! If not from you then hobbit or someone else Hopefully I will sniff out something new myself and quickly post
Anyway this really sounds promising! And quite affordable. Practically just one charity event, organised by your friends, away
I already mentioned I wasnt following SCI researches in details before a year and a half ago (why would I, right?), but it seems to me they are evolving on many areas. And there is competition between them! Electrostimulation, brain implants, robotics, optogenetics (or something to do with light, you also posted that Lara ), and of course stem cells cant be behind!
About stem cells I have to say I heard only negative stuff until now, and that this treatment cant help you, if youre a complete. So how about this treatment? I didnt find anything on results, so what do you get for 10k, except a couple of nights in Tijuana?

I'm at 11 months since my injury. I had a stem cell treatment at 4 months. I want to get my hardware removed. I wonder if I could have my hardware removed and a stem cell treatment at the same time?

The link above has some contact info dlevy...its def worth getting in touch and speaking with someone about this
I contacted them and spoke with Dr. Braly. I explained that I had a fat derived stem cell treatment 8 months ago. I'm 12 months in. I have gained sensation and motor control below my injury. Of course, I am not sure if my progress is due to stem cells. He suggested I go back to Phoenix instead of going through a different program. Phoenix Stem Cell Treatment Center charges just under 10k for the first injection. I think I had 4 injections and think my total was about 13k.
I appreciated Dr. Braly's opinion. I will probably go back to Phoenix.

Thanks for the info dlevy! If you do decided to do the treatment once again, I think it'd be easier to see if it's the treatment that's actually helping with recovery. Be sure to keep us updated!
