My neighbour is in her 80's, she gets up every morning and takes the bus into town to do her shopping. She wont accept a lift ever because she says it will make her lazy. She tells me about the volunteer work that she did during the war. She very cute and sweet for an elderly lady and she cracks very dry jokes that amuse me.

Her partner died just over a year ago and i was worried that she may lose interest, but not at all im pleased to say.

I only hope that when i am her age i have half of her attitude and determination!

I have a 84 yr. old neighbor. This guy is just over 5 ft. tall and about 80 pounds. He snow blows his own part of the driveway with a blower built in 1965. In the fall he will split firewood for hours, on his knee's, with a smoke hanging out of his mouth. The guy has been smoking for over 70yrs. My other neighbor is 74, he's the workhorse of the three of us. So these two fellas really inspire me, and put me to shame at the same time.

These guys both retired and stay busy doing some project or another, that may be the key.

I've been thinking about this a little more and if there is one member who is an amazing inspiration for me is our very lovely wavewolf.

She remains positive and determined throughout the illness she endures and the pain she has to suffer....yet shes friendly, funny and very lovely!
