I often ask myself this question....ive noticed that there is a re-occurring trait in most of the people I have met and come across with SCI. I am always impressed with the determination and resilience.
I recognize a strength of character that gets everyone through...it's obvious that you/we/I have bad times but we never let it hold us back...we just keep going through the struggles with whatever SCI throws at us. Aren't we pretty damn amazing!
Then my mind starts to wonder wether only the strong people are given SCI...or those who are strong-ish..maybe bending a little in the wind but never breaking...
I always say that incidents that happened in my life prepared me for SCI...they made me strong, ive dealt already with worse things so this was always going to be manageable lol Maybe not physical things..but ive been emotionally challenged so i was ready for this biggie!....
Do you think we are all pretty much cut from a similar cloth? strong individuals and determined....or is that just what we show on the outside and in reality...its tough and we are only human and can only take so much before we say ffs enough is enough....
sorry..long one..and in a thoughtful mood ...feel free to add your thoughts..!

I think we have no choice than to be strong, i have a family who still depend on me. It isnt easy but being busy keeps my mind of my health worries and i cant let this injury take away more than it already has.
Almost all the people i have met with this injury have been positive and determined to never give in to it!..we are made of tough stuff!
