A couple weeks ago, my boyfriend and I went on a weekend getaway to Minot, North Dakota, USA. We stayed at Country Inn & Suites, and they were awesome! They made sure we got an accessible room, and when we realized that we had forgotten my shower chair, they offered to transfer rooms (which we declined because there were no chairs in those showers either), and then, the lady at the front desk came up with an ingenious idea that I didn't even think of-- a plastic poolside chair! It worked perfectly, and our stay was wonderful. All the places we went were fully accessible, and had good service everywhere we went. Nobody stared, and when we went to the mall, I even got compliments! I just wanted to share my experience, and let everyone know which hotel to stay in if you ever decide to visit Minot! After the stay there, I began wishing we lived there, as the town we live in thinks accessibility means less than ten stairs!
