Not only is autumn leaves treacherous, but winter ice is a face plant waiting to happen. I do agree that leaves are slippery - wet and dry. i tend to not walk through leaves for that reason; i just "rake" the leaves away from the path i am walking through. As far as winter, i dare not go outside in snow or ice with my crutches. my wheelchair is preferred so i don't break a serious bone like elbow or hip (eeek!!!). i have not tried any crutch tips better traction. i use the millennial medical in-motion forearm crutches with the spring-tip and ergonomic handles (way better than those bulky Loftstrand crutches ) Lαrα,cbdives,Knight,DJ,wavewolf,
