Im just interested in what you think about this....Do you feel confident when out using your chair? I still think that the media could do more to send a positive message out there.
I posted a video on the forum a few days ago and i felt it held an important message. If the majority of the population were wheelchair users (and im glad theyre not) then this would be better for us lol. Watch the video...its pretty cool!
I don't see there being a "negative" image for wheelchair users. Other then the odd people who are curious and like to stare, I think it's ok. People are actually quite friendly!

Sorry DJ...i dont mean it that way....im saying as wheelchair users...how is our image perceived and how do we project a positive image...The media can help with this... The video explains a little more

That's been my experience also, DJ. But AB people cannot realize how much effort it takes to mobilize in a chair, so I ask for help when I need it.

Definitely. If I need the help I ask for it. If people ask me, I kindly say no or accept it!
A positive image comes from the person, not their assisting devices. If you smile at others they will go out of their way to help you and treat you well.
