Right after my surgery, my anus was open 24/7, which feels awkward and is not nice to hemorrhoids, and constantly made me nervous of accidents. After a while, the sensation & function came back and it would be like normal, opening & closing. But today, after my bowel emptying, it is staying open, and I feel really nervous about going anywhere or doing anything! I don't feel like I have to go, but it feels really uncomfortable and somewhat painful to sit when my anus is wide open. Why won't it be go back shut like it usually does? Could it be from being constipated and pushing out large stools? Could it have to do with the hemorrhoid that partially burst this morning? I don't feel like there is anything ready to come out in my colon, but I'm still really nervous of having an accident! Why would my anus be doing this?

Knight,Maybe its due to partial sensation? I think if you have had a tough session opening your bowels then maybe you just need the feeling to settle again to how you normally feel there. I think a stool softener may be an idea...do you remember to take daily softeners so you can avoid this issue?
It went back to normal! I figured out what caused it. It was an oopsie! I will leave the rest to your imagination...
I am blocking any suggestion out Knight but im pleased you feel better there!
I think that it's because I'm really constipated still... why, I don't know. I've been eating right, drinking tea, haven't switched my meds... *shrug* My body is a mystery this month
Just keep doing everything right and im sure things will be settle Knight,
I sure hope so! I am done drinking as much as I was! One or two glasses of wine will be just fine for this little lady from now on! Gotta get my digestive system back on track & booze is NOT going to help with that!
