I asked a couple doctors and have done some research on a pain pump, but I have been told that I am too small and don't have enough "meat on my bones" to even consider one as an option. I haven't been able to find any requirements for that, and plan to ask my pain management doctor on Thursday, but I was just wondering if anyone has one, how they work (it's tough to decipher medical mumbo-jumbo while sober, much less while in Valium-kicked-in-relaxation mode!), and how well they work. I want to learn what I can because it may be a valid option later on. It would help with my constipation, that's for sure!
Ive heard of them but i dont know anything about them Knight,...i will take a look around on the net and see if there is any feedback on them. Hopefully one of our members may know more...
Jeez getting one of those implanted is no joke. If the doctors think it's best that you don't get it I'd suggest that you not get it because the last thing you need is more complications!
They make them close by. I was recommended one way back. Looked into a bit and some loved them, some had problems later on.
Having problems later on would be my biggest concern. I'd rather deal with my current pain instead of relieving it for some time then dealing with worse later on.

One of my major questions/curiosities is, If your spinal cord/column is damaged, how does the medication stay in your spinal column? Does the sheath around your spinal cord heal after a while?
