We cannot forget these people who have given so much. Not only the physical injuries, but the emotional ones, follow them for the rest of their lives. I have supported Paralyzed Vets for years, never imagining I would come to understand their pain first hand. Now I am also working with a local service dog training organization, evaluating shelter/rescue dogs that can be trained to assist veterans with PTSD or mobility impairment.
