I have lots: padded shower seat (not toilet seat); hamper next to the toilet to assist with balance; Deep Contour Jay cushion (reduced daily spasticity by 90% by reducing heat and pressure on the bladder); pressure mapping eval to assure that w/c seat distributes pressure properly; agree with reachers; have them all over the place. In the wish I had done this earlier category, I got a lift-equipped van this year. I know they look clunky and non-cool, although I love my Honda Odyssey. However, after 40+ years of transferring myself and the wheelchair in to cars and trucks, my shoulders are much the worse for it. Fortunately, I purchased the van right before I started having severe problems with my shoulders. If I didn't have the van, I would be housebound, or I would be doing greater damage to my shoulders. The most useful item in my life is my wife. Not because she does stuff for me; she doesn't. Being alone is a tremendous risk for people with SCI, physically and emotionally. Truth be told, I am healthier than she is. (But that's another thread.) Having a partner tests and challenges you to do more, try new things, but also adds a level of security and safety.
I honestly have no idea what to choose if it were just one item but for me it's basically everyday life things like my wheelchair & electronics. If it weren't for my iPad, laptop & phone I have no idea what I'd do. Then there's my wheelchair which is pretty much my legs. Talking about my wheelchair, it's realiy due for maintenance! It's a good thing I maintain my actual legs better than I do my wheelchair even though my legs do absolutely nothing for me.
Love my assistive devices (chair, canes, braces, adapted car), they keep me mobile. Also laptop and phone, keep me connected and informed. My musical instruments help me maintain sanity and are creative outlet. Best of all is my service dog, he's family!

If your doing math homework, I use notes plus. It’s object menu allows you to use horizontal or vertical arrows to draw graphs easily:
To take notes, generally for all classes, I use notability. I make sure I save all my material from both apps on Dropbox, just in case I didn’t backup my iPad or if it broke.
